How to Keep Your Soccer Player Busy During the Summer

Snap Soccer does not allow mixed association guest players based on standards from major youth soccer sanctioning bodies.

This means that US Club Soccer teams may only take guest players registered under US Club Soccer, and USYS teams may only take guest players registered with properly stamped USYS player pass cards.

Mixed rosters with player passes from different organizations will not be accepted at any Snap Soccer event.

All guest players are expected to have a proper loan form even if it is not requested by event staff. Please see below.

Resources

  • US Club Guest Player Loan Form
  • USYS Guest Player Form – please contact your state association (ASA, LSA, FYSA, etc.)

Always refer to the Event Rules to review Guest Player requirements or limitations.

How to keep your soccer player busy during the summer

We know that kids can’t get enough of the sport they love! For many in the southeast, soccer runs from late August – May with a few off periods during the year.

The off months in June and July are a great break for your player, but you know as well as we do that they are normally itching to get back on the pitch sooner rather than later.

The summer months provide for some unique opportunities for your players such as camps, private training, and Snap Soccer’s very own Summer Futsal Series in Alabama.

Soccer Camps

Soccer camps are a great way to keep your player entertained and engaged during the summer months.  You can either have your player attend day/evening camp or an overnight camp.  Some camps we recommend can be viewed below.  Always be on the lookout for local camps in your area!

Training of any kind

Training with a coach or with your player with a ball in the backyard is always a plus! If your soccer organization offers private training options, you should inquire and see if it makes sense for your budget.  If not, we recommend downloading instructional videos for your player to train himself. Youtube among multiple other platforms allow for inexpensive training done at home.

Summer Futsal Series

Last, but certainly not least, is for your player to attend the Snap Soccer Summer Futsal Series (Summer Futsal and August Futsal) in Foley, AL.  This is a great way to kill the summer heat while getting some fast-paced, quality games in.  Our futsal games are 5v5 (keeper included).  If you don’t have a team, feel free to reach out to the event organizer who will happily assist you in finding a team.

See some highlights of our futsal events below:

Whether it be a camp, general training, or futsal, more time on the ball is better for player development.

(To put the cherry on the top of your player’s summer development, we always recommend purchasing your player the newest version of the FIFA video game.  This is sure to go over well with them!)

As always, if you have any questions feel free to reach out. We are happy to help!
