Maryland, Minnesota teams highlight competition in the third annual Trident Cup

Snap Soccer does not allow mixed association guest players based on standards from major youth soccer sanctioning bodies.

This means that US Club Soccer teams may only take guest players registered under US Club Soccer, and USYS teams may only take guest players registered with properly stamped USYS player pass cards.

Mixed rosters with player passes from different organizations will not be accepted at any Snap Soccer event.

All guest players are expected to have a proper loan form even if it is not requested by event staff. Please see below.

Resources

  • US Club Guest Player Loan Form
  • USYS Guest Player Form – please contact your state association (ASA, LSA, FYSA, etc.)

Always refer to the Event Rules to review Guest Player requirements or limitations.

Snap Soccer is partnering with GulfSouth Soccer Club to bring youth soccer to Panama City Beach, Florida once again. The Trident Cup will be hosted at the Publix Sports Park on May 6th and 7th. This competitive soccer tournament already has 86 teams registered which include travel teams from neighboring states as well as Maryland and Minnesota.

“It is amazing to host teams from outside the region,” says Parker McIntosh, tournament director for the event. “It adds tremendous value to the event and to the city. Panama City Beach is an ideal destination for many teams looking for high-level competition. The beach is right down the road and certainly helps attract teams too.”

The Trident Cup is a U.S. Club Soccer affiliated tournament that welcomes youth teams from all affiliations including U.S. Youth Soccer among others. The tournament has hosted over 125 teams in each of its first two years making it one of the larger events in the Florida Panhandle.

“GulfSouth SC is excited to offer the opportunity for teams to compete in a late spring
tournament,” says Brian Mass, Director of Registration with GulfSouth SC. “With four beautiful grass fields, and nine state-of-the-art turf fields, playing at Publix Sports Park is an absolute pleasure.”

Publix Sports Park opened in July of 2019 with the first Trident Cup scheduled for the following May. However, the pandemic forced the event to be rescheduled for 2021.
Snap Soccer was founded in 2010 and is a youth soccer management company based out of Pensacola, Florida. Snap Soccer currently manages 25+ events annually in Florida, Alabama and Louisiana.
