New spring 2021 soccer tournaments coming to Huntsville, Alabama. Huntsville Sports Commission partners with Snap Soccer, a reputable event management company located on the Gulf Coast, to bring quality competition and to raise the competition level of youth soccer inhe region.
Snap Soccer is excited to announce the launch of two brand new events coming to the Huntsville, Alabama area in Spring 2021. The Horizon Cup will be hosted March 27-28th, and will be targeted to U9-U15 Boys and girls competitive teams, from birth years 2012-2006.
Our second event, the Apollo Cup, will be a full, U9-19 Boys and Girls event. Ages from 2012-2002, on May 22-23rd and will host several regional college coaches who are looking for new players to join their programs.
We are extremely fortunate to have an agreement in place to utilize the fantastic facilities at Merrimack Complex, which currently boasts multiple grass fields and four brand new turf fields. In addition to this, we will be utilizing the John Hunt facility as an extra site. The John Hunt facility is host to the Alabama High School Association State Championships.
In addition to these great facilities Snap Soccer is excited to bring teams from surrounding states to enjoy Huntsville and its beauty.
Referee Assignor, Cedric Thomas had this to add, “We have about 100+ active referees (HS and USSF) in the North Alabama area that will be involved in making these games happen. It will be exciting times for our referees with all the soccer events and opportunities happening in our area.”
Huntsville is renowned as one of the fastest growing cities, not only in Alabama, but regionally. We are hoping to be a major contributor in bringing soccer clubs from over six different states to come and visit this wonderful city.
