We have finally made it official. (Read Press Release) Snap Soccer and Foley Sports Tourism will be partnering up together to bring new and expand existing events into their new state of the art sports complex. Conversations started early 2015 when Don Staley was announced as the Executive Director of the Foley Sports Tourism. When you look at the plans of the new park it is easy to see its setup for soccer. The park features 15 full-size fields all set up with brand new Musco lighting.
There are not many soccer parks in the regional area that allow for that many fields to be all in one location. So when Don gave us the phone call to sit down for a meeting our team here at Snap Soccer raced on over the state line to sit down. Since our first meeting the relationship has been nothing but a great partnership.
First Foley Soccer Event – Memorial Day Weekend
Once the team at FSTC and Snap Soccer saw the opportunity to keep growing soccer on the Gulf Coast this first thing we had to identify was when to host the first event. Upon completing the research of the area’s soccer scene and looking at regional and national events that would operate on the same weekend we all agreed that the Memorial Day Weekend would be a great time to kick it off (no pun intended!). This weekend marks the end to most travel soccer team’s season so what better way to spend it than visiting the beautiful Gulf Coast? Because we have a three day weekend and the kids are already out of school Monday it allows us to host games over three days rather than two. On a normal soccer tournament weekend you play up to two games a day. This can cause a few issues with fatigue and doesn’t allow much time to enjoy the area. Now we can allow teams to participate in group play matches on Saturday and Sunday with the finals being on Monday. This gives teams the opportunity to play one game a day, rest, and enjoy the many different attractions and gorgeous beaches just minutes from the soccer fields. Over time, this event will become a fixture for many soccer clubs all over the country.

Our company started as an online retailer and information-based company that helped parents and players learn and grow with soccer. The acronym for SNAP means, Soccer Needs for All Parties. Our mission is to serve the parents, players, officials, cities and soccer organizations we work with.
