[Pensacola, Florida] Snap Soccer is partnering with ASG FC to bring two new travel soccer tournaments to the Valdosta, Georgia greater area. The Valdosta Cup and the Southern Georgia Showdown will be hosted at the North Lowndes Sports Complex on October 28-29 and December 2-3 respectively. Registration is open to all competitive youth soccer teams ranging from U8 (born in 2016) to U19 for both boys and girls.
“ASG FC is quite excited to be a part of the Valdosta events,” says Andy Warner, C.E.O. of ASG. “Being a partner at two new events in a brand new facility is an honor. We look forward to helping make these events a success.”
The North Lowndes Sports Complex opened in April 2023 with eight full sized soccer fields complete with lighting and a concession stand to service patrons visiting the facility. The brand new soccer complex has been a decade in the making.
“It was extremely important that this project came to fruition, basically because the soccer community is growing by leaps and bounds,” Lowndes County Commission Chairman Bill Slaughter said, via the Valdosta Daily Times. “From a Parks and Recreation standpoint, in this community, we needed a soccer complex and we’ve known this for probably 10 years. Then, we started working on the idea of the soccer complex. We were able to acquire this piece of property from the Georgia Department of Transportation, which really was a blessing for us and here we are today.”
This will be the first time Snap Soccer has hosted a tournament in Georgia expanding their footprint to four states which also includes Alabama, Florida and Louisiana.
“As Snap Soccer has continued to grow, it has been nice to be able to service other areas of the southeast,” Snap Soccer C.E.O. John Guidroz said, “We have had a lot of interest in the state and it will be very cool to have Valdosta on the map for years to come.”
Snap Soccer was founded in 2010 and is a youth soccer management company based in Pensacola, Florida. Snap Soccer currently owns or manages 25+ events annually in the southeast.
