Snap Soccer Chosen as Recipient of The Spring Venture Mentoring Service (VMS).
Pensacola, FL. (May 6, 2020) — Snap Soccer is pleased to announce that it has been chosen to be one of the first ten businesses for The Spring Venture Mentoring Service (VMS) pilot program in Pensacola, FL. The Venture Mentoring Service, founded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has launched small businesses and entrepreneurs across the world into accelerated growth with this mentorship program. Currently, the VMS at MIT trains other organizations to establish this model in their own locales.
Located in the heart of downtown Pensacola, the Studer Community Institute (SCI) building will house the Spring Entrepreneur Hub in which the local VMS program will operate. After pinpointing barriers to specific goals, a vast range of mentors within VMS will choose the businesses they are best suited to guide.
The Spring VMS received over 80 applications from local small businesses seeking to reach their fullest potential, but only ten were chosen based on their allowance for substantial growth. Over the following months, Snap Soccer will work closely with mentors and entrepreneurs who have built thriving companies in Pensacola and on a national scale. We hope that upon completion of this program, Snap Soccer will be better equipped to expand our reach in the soccer community and to diversify our current services.
Snap Soccer’s staff is incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and we are especially excited to see how The Spring VMS guides us in our future endeavors. As always, our primary goals remain to serve our community which has supported us over the past decade and to advance the game of youth soccer.
Snap Soccer believes growing the game of youth soccer leads to better, stronger connections between all people and every community. Founded in 2010, our mission is to put players, parents, soccer clubs, and businesses on the same playing field and watch them grow. What started as one couple running a 100-team tournament has evolved into a trusted partner to 100’s of soccer clubs, local municipalities, and small to medium sized businesses. Snap Soccer takes these organizations and transforms their brand. We leverage modern marketing techniques to engage with their audience, as well as produce extremely organized, large-scale sporting events. When you combine these services, Snap Soccer keeps participants happy, saves organizers from headaches, gives soccer clubs more time to focus on training, and helps local businesses find new customers.
The Spring Entrepreneur Hub exists to empower, connect and grow small businesses in the Pensacola, FL area, serving as the front door to our community’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. The Spring focuses on three key areas – mentorship, connection to resources, and scaling/acceleration – to bring unprecedented structure and aid to local small businesses in Escambia and Santa Rosa County. We have brought on two of the leading entrepreneur organizations in the world – Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Gener8tor – to help fulfill our project. In addition, our physical space will open on the first floor of the Studer Community Institute Building in Pensacola late Summer 2020.
