Snap Soccer is committed to providing a fair, safe, and enjoyable tournament experience for all players, families, referees, and staff. As part of our ongoing effort to improve the quality and consistency of our events, Snap Soccer has implemented several updates to the 2026 Tournament Rules, effective immediately for all upcoming tournaments.
These revisions are designed to enhance player safety, clarify game play expectations, and streamline team administration. We strongly encourage all teams, coaches, and managers to review and comply with the updated requirements.
Key Updates to the 2026 Tournament Rules
- Strict Online Check-In Requirements & Deadlines
Online Check-In (OLC) is required for all teams and is expected to be fully completed by the Monday prior to the event weekend. While Snap Soccer understands there may be occasional delays in completing check-in, all teams are required to begin OLC no later than Monday prior to the event.
Any team that has not started Online Check-In by that deadline will be charged a late start fee.
Additionally, teams are responsible for ensuring all information is accurate and complete, including:
- Player/parent email addresses
- Jersey numbers for each participating athletes
Incomplete or inaccurate submissions may result in inaccessible player data and missed or delayed important or emergent tournament communications to parents and guardians.

- Team Camera Placement Requirements
To ensure safety and consistency across venues:
- Team cameras must be placed on the spectator sideline only.
- All cameras and camera stands must be securely weighed down at all times
Improper placement or unsecured equipment may be removed by tournament staff.
- Enforcement of Unique Jersey Numbers
Snap Soccer will strictly enforce the existing rule requiring:
- Matching team jerseys with unique numbers for each player, as submitted on the Official Tournament Roster
- If necessary, teams may use tape to adjust jersey numbers on the fly to maintain compliance
- Score Verification Clarification
Following each match, team staff is responsible for verifying the final score with the Center Referee before leaving the field. This step is critical to ensure accurate standings and results.
- Prohibition of Artificial or Instrumental Noisemakers
To maintain a respectful match environment:
- NO ARTIFICIAL OR INSTRUMENTAL NOISEMAKERS ARE ALLOWED
- Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: air horns, electronic amplifiers, vuvuzelas (horns), cowbells, drums,
- Zero Tolerance for Referee Abuse
Snap Soccer fully supports U.S. Soccer’s Referee Abuse Prevention (RAP) Policy. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for referee abuse, including physical or verbal harassment.
The RAP Policy enforces zero tolerance for physical or verbal abuse of referees. Violations may result in ejections, match suspensions, multi-game or time-based bans, and additional disciplinary sanctions, with teams held responsible for spectator behavior.
